Spring will come. Join us Fri April 10th at Dawson St Pub in Roxborough/Manayunk. We are thrilled to share the evening with John Train –a six piece semi-electrified bluegrass, country and much-more band which features many of our musical friends and past collaborators. We return to Dawson St Pub on Fri Dec 5th when will be joined by Travel Lanes featuring long time Philadelphia power-pop songwriter Frank Brown (Buzz Zeemer and Flight of Mavis). FRI AUG 1 at DAWSON ST w/AMY PICKARD & FRIENDS
Join us Fri Aug 1st at 9PM when we return to the Dawson St Pub just off Ridge Ave, in Manayunk/Wissahickon. Joining us in a rare appearance will Amy Pickard & Friends (formerly of She-Haw and Amy Pickard & the Cradlers). Dawson St is one of Philadelphia’s great, long-standing neighborhood bars, with great beer and nice room for music. We’re very excited to hear Amy and Friends. Everyone should buy her 2007 record Cut From the Hopeless, or listen to it (it’s on Spotify). Here’s a review.

On Sat May 31st at 12 noon we will appear at the Old Pine amphitheater at 4th and Lombard, as part of a spring concert that will run from noon until 4. We will be followed by followed by John Shaughnessy and Friends, Eric 13, and The Boyler Boys. Come on out and sit in the sun with us!
SAT MAY 10th CONVERGENCE PART II -BROOKLYN!
The KFB will travel to Brooklyn NYC to join Sam Erickson & Dave French’s band The Sonic Power Pops at Freddy’s Bar, 627 5th Ave in Brooklyn. Show starts at the old man-friendly time of 8PM. We go first, the SPP’s go second and then we will be followed by the modish masters of 60’s French pop –Les Sans Culottes. We hope to see you!
FRI OCT 25TH HARMONIC CONVERGENCE @ FERGIE’S. SONIC POWER POPS & YARROWS!
The KFB will be joined by Sam Erickson & Dave French’s band The Sonic Power Pops who will drive down from Brooklyn, and The Yarrows (brothers Pierce & Matt Backes) travelling from their upriver home in NJ along the bucolic Delaware. Show starts at 9:30 sharp (note new early start time!). We go first. It’s free and we hope to see you!

On Fri September 27th we’re the guests of John Train as part of their regular Friday night happy hour residency at Fergie’s Pub 1214 Sansom St. The music starts at 6PM and goes until 8. We’ll play a short set sometime around 6:45 or so.
SOUTH PHILA POP MARATHON SAT April 20th, 8PM @ CONNIE’S
Join us at the infamous/famous/under-the-radar/9th St Italian Market new institution Connie’s Ric Rac for the SOUTH PHILA POP MUSIC MARATHON. We are joined by friends Crevice Tool (these guys have very little web presence but lots of stage presence!), The Kwerks, and the Donuts, as well as Baker Man.
Things you don’t want to miss will start happening at 8PM sharp. We play around 9PM.
FOOD TRUST BENEFIT SAT 3/23
Do you support access to healthy food & like to drink great beer, talk with interesting people & listen to music? Join us Sat, March 23rd from 5:00-7:30pm at the Hardware Manufacturing Bldg (1102 E. Columbia St. Philadelphia, PA) – just around the corner from Frankford & Girard Avenues to support the Food Trust and celebrate the FT’s 20th anniversary. Things to look forward to:

FRI NOVEMBER 16th at THE FIRE with THE DONUTS!
On Fri November 16th we return to the Fire at 4th & Girard in Northern Liberties. We go on first at 9PM sharp and will be followed by the Donuts and one or two others TBA. At least one member of the KFB has been at almost every Donuts show throughout their 8 year history. We stand by what they offer to their audience. They wear great outfits. They have great records on Chapter 7 records, the home of the KFB’s Almost Friday Night. We hope you’ll join us.
FERGIE’S SAT. MAY 19th w/the WAYWARD WIND
On Sat May 19th we return to Fergie’s Pub -the the site of many KFB shows of yesteryear. We start with a short set at 10PM SHARP! and will be followed by the Wayward Wind, and after they finish we’ll retake the stage for a second set. The Wayward Wind is led by Rick Henderson, formerly of the Wipeout Gang, the Chowderheads, Emma, Eltro and more. They will be great and we’re excited to hear them!
FRI MAY 4th @ MIDTOWN SCHOLAR, HARRISBURG PA
On Fri May 4th we make our first ever trip to the independent bookstore arts venue the Midtown Scholar in Harrisburg PA. The show starts at 8PM and we will be sharing the stage with roots-rockers/bluegrassers Herb and Hanson. The Midtown Scholar is a stunning two story space where we hope to see you in May.
